Our mission is to be a premier provider of clean energy, specializing in community-based generation projects.

We currently own more than 8MW of operating solar PV facilities with total annual output of more than 10 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, plus two projects contracted for construction totaling 3.5MW. Our goal is to develop, own, and operate over 200MW of clean electricity generation assets by 2017.  With proven expertise in engineering, construction, interconnection, and project finance, and with access to both debt and tax equity markets, GSE has the ability to take clean energy power plant projects through the development process, through financing and construction, to operational status.    The Company has U.S. offices in New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida, South Carolina, and Wisconsin and a European office in Agno-Lugano, Switzerland.  GSE’s common stock is listed on the Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) under the symbol "GSE.BH". Stephen Clevett, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Clevett is a recognized leader in the energy sector with over 25 years of commercial transaction experience developing, acquiring, financing and restructuring large scale energy and infrastructure projects for both domestic and international clients. He also led a broad array of merger and acquisition activities on both the buy and sell side. His credentials include key operating management, project finance and M&A roles in several international power generation companies with an aggregate transaction value in excess of $2.0 billion. Prior to joining GSE, Mr. Clevett served as the Chief Operating Officer of Premier Power Renewable Energy, Inc., a leading multinational solar PV integrator. Mr. Clevett previously served as President and CEO of the Optimira Energy Group, a leading energy services company. He also held various positions within the Bechtel Enterprises Group; including director of corporate development at U.S. Generating Company a leading developer and asset manager of utility scale fossil power plants.

Jeffrey Lord, President & Chief Operating Officer

With more than 25 years of senior management in power and telecommunications, he is known as a pioneer of nontraditional opportunities in those industries. Huge shifts in regulation and technologies have catalyzed myriad changes in power and telecom, and Mr. Lord’s work has consistently maximized opportunity and spurred innovation. Since 2008, he has worked with developers and governments on solar PV and other energy projects in the U.S. and overseas. As General Manager of Business Development at Green Mountain Power he was responsible for redesigning the capital planning, operations, and construction project management processes, while also launching a deregulated utility construction business unit and leading project construction management on $100M of utility T&D assets. Mr. Lord held senior positions at Citizens Utilities (now Frontier Communications) for more than 12 years, including business development and product marketing. He has more than $1.5B of combined M&A experience. He has also worked as a consultant to various utilities in the U.S. and abroad.

Joseph Duey, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Duey brings a unique combination of skills and experience to the GSE team.  He previously served as Vice President and Controller at Power Partners MasTec, LLC where he successfully closed over $150M of solar projects in 2011.  Power Partners Mastec is part of the MasTec, Inc., family of companies (NYSE-MTZ), one of the nation’s largest electrical & infrastructure contractors, with annual revenues in excess of $2B.  Mr. Duey was also employed by Arthur Andersen in Chicago where he performed various audits including external, internal, and business process risk audits.  Joe’s earlier experience includes serving as Controller and General Manager for the manufacturing company Allumination Filmworks, and in finance and operations roles with Fortune 500 manufacturing companies, Goodrich Corporation, and SPX Corporation.

David Yakerson, Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Yakerson has over 25 years identifying and acquiring new technologies and implementing complex technological solutions.  He is experienced in global operations and complex project management.  Mr. Yakerson has consulted on solar and other renewable energy projects for more than 5 years both across the U.S. and globally.  Prior to joining GSE, he was a Senior Member of the Architecture Planning and Integration team with AT&T, and also has senior level experience at United Rentals, a $3 billion public company with 750 locations and Bridgeport Hydraulic, Connecticut’s primary water utility.

More than 40 years of diverse financial experience including CFO of 5 publicly held companies in the technology and energy fields, a senior partner of a New York based venture development firm, and an investment banker and partner of two New York based investment banks. He has raised more than $150 million in early stage equity financing for his companies, and has added more than $1 billion in market capitalization to his companies. He has contributed to three business anthologies on business and finance, and is the author of a best-selling book, Soul Currency.

Paul Patrizio, General Counsel

Mr. Patrizio has been the Co-Managing Partner and General Counsel of Clean Power Partners LLC since its inception in 2009.  CPP is a project development company and advisory firm specializing in the clean energy industry.  During the last several years, Paul has also been Counsel to Gehrlicher Solar America Corp., the US subsidiary of Gehrlicher Solar AG, one of the largest solar companies in the world.    Previously, he served in a variety of investment banking, business development, and corporate Counsel roles.  Mr. Patrizio holds a BA, MBA, JD and LLM and is admitted to practice law in NJ, NY and PA.

Ed Chapman

Ed has over 25 years of experience in evaluating and financing power generation projects in the United States, often creating the business and financial structures necessary to complete the financing. In 2000, Ed co-founded an energy project development company dedicated to environmentally-beneficial gasification technologies. Prior to this, Ed spent 16 years as an investment banker with Goldman Sachs, and earlier, with Salomon Brothers, where he was responsible for all aspects of financing and client development for independent power producers and traditional electric utilities. Ed holds a JD, a MBA, and a BS Degree in electrical engineering.

Kenneth Kramer

Ken is a co-founder and Managing Director of Rushton Atlantic, a leading valuation firm based in New York.  Ken came to the valuation field by way of posts in corporate treasury and banking. He had established lease finance businesses for two large international banks in New York prior to entering the valuation business.  Together with Rushton International, Ken established Rushton Atlantic to continue to build a leading practice in structured finance and insurance valuation, with specific expertise in the energy and renewable energy industry.  Ken has a BS in mechanical engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from Columbia University. He is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth (and Board member of the New York Chapter), and the Turnaround Management Association.

Congressman Nick Lampson

Nick is the former chairman of the House Subcommittee on Energy and the Environment, and was a 4 term Congressional representative from Texas.  He is the founder of the Congressional Missing and Exploited Children’s Caucus, which now numbers more than 120 members.  Congressman Lampson is a spokesman and advocate for renewable energy development, and has been an advisor to a number of cities and for profit and nonprofit organizations.

Jolene Moritz Molitoris

Jolene’s has had a distinguished career in the transportation industry, both in the public and private sector. She was the first woman Administrator of The Federal Railroad Administration, serving for President Clinton’s two terms. During her tenure, the FRA recreated its research program with a priority on “early to market” research efforts. She was President and CEO of GeoFocus, a high tech transit communications company. Jolene returned to Ohio in 2006 to become the Ohio Department of Transportation’s first woman Director in its 105 year history, delivering the largest construction program in Ohio history. Today, Jolene serves as President of US Railcar Company, the only US owned passenger rail car company in the country with DMU( diesel multiple unit) cars that offer the safest, quietest, most efficient and customer friendly vehicles in the marketplace. In 1999, Jolene received two historic awards: Railway Age named her as one of 16 great 20th Century Railroaders; and Ellis Island awarded her its prestigious Medal of Honor for Extraordinary Service to Humanity.

Greg Williams

Prior to retiring as Co-Owner and Vice President of Six Rivers Solar, Inc. (1980-2005), Greg enjoyed over 25 years of successfully building a multi-million dollar business whose sole focus was designing and implementing large and small Alternative Energy Electrical Projects for commercial applications.  As an early pioneer in the PV Solar space, Greg successfully developed a highly successful and progressive multi-functional “design/build” contracting company specializing in energy supply and services. His expertise includes Research, Design, Testing, Sourcing, Procurement, and Construction.

At Green States Energy, our Board of Directors is keenly aware of what it takes to identify, develop, build, and operate clean energy infrastructure successfully.

Robert Baron, Director

Mr. Baron joined the GSE Board in November 2012. He is a director of Opko Health (NYSE: OPK) where he serves as chairman of the Governance and Nominating committee and as a member of the Audit committee and the Compensation committee. Prior public boards include Andover Medical (OTC: ADOV), Hemobiotech (OTC: HMBT) and Suburban Bancorp. Suburban Bancorp was sold to Fifth Third Bank (NASDAQ: FITB). Mr. Baron was owner and president of Cash City Inc. a payday loan and check cashing business from 1999 to 2003. From 1997 to 1999, he was the president of East Coast operations of CSS/TSC a distributor of blank tee shirts, fleece and accessories, a subsidiary of Tultex Corp. From 1985 to 1997 he was president/owner of T-Shirt City, which was sold to Tultex Corp.

Wallace Giakas, Director

Mr. Giakas graduated from Kean University in 1980 and has been involved in the securities and banking industry since 1980. He has worked at Muller and Co, E.F. Hutton, and various other firms where he served in a variety of positions that include branch manager, national sales manager, as well as other corporate finance and banking positions. Mr. Giakas is currently a principal and equity owner of Buckman, Buckman and Reid, a FINRA registered Broker Dealer established in 1989. Mr. Giakas also founded and currently is also a principal owner and CEO of Greenstone Holdings, LLC, a private Merchant Bank located in New York. He currently serves on the board of Collabrium Capital, a UK based emerging market and private equity fund. He currently holds Series 7 (General Securities) and Series 24 (General Securities Principal)licenses.
